Whilst it is hard to pull attention away from the ever changing panorama spread before The LODGE not least of which is the greeting-card beauty of the Cairngorm mountains, it is equally hard not to be mesmerised by the amazing range of dishes offered in the Osprey Restaurant and on the Osprey Deck.
Head chef Sandy Cowie boasts an eclectic range of dishes but with one unifying theme: Quality. His exacting standards, his insistence on freshly cooked, wholesome local produce and an imaginative flair made him a winner in Grampian Chef of the Year and always makes him a winner with our diners. His signature style could be described as Mediterranean with Scottish accents. However, with signature dishes such as Haggis Nuggets in Pinhead Oatmeal, Cullen Skink Risotto and his once-tasted-never-forgotten Lemon Mascarpone Cheesecake it’s simply not fair to put a label on Sandy’s cooking unless it’s ‘an angel crying on your tongue’.
The floor show that is the osprey power-diving into the loch to catch his dinner is a little bonus with our compliments.
