A magical occasion needs a magical location.

Every couple (okay, bride) wants their special day to be unique and memorable.  Unique memories are what THE LODGE on the Loch do best.

The entire venue, including Aboyne Loch and the Cairngorm National Park, await, like a blank canvas to be tailored to every whim the couple (okay, bride) may have.  If the bride’s greatest wish is to be rowed across the loch to her wedding.  So be it.  If the groom would like to abseil down Clachnaban and swim across the loch with a box of Milk Tray secreted in his cummerbund.  That’s fine.
In addition to the loch and mountains of course, four main areas are available for the ceremony and reception, however, the entire venue can be put at your disposal exclusively including the six double occupancy bedrooms.   All four function areas have been designed with the south facing aspect walled in glass bringing the beauty and romanticism of the backdrop to the heart of the occasion like a silent guardian guest.

The latest addition, the stunning Glentanar Room with two of its four walls in foldaway glass, is a most breathtaking area for the ceremony with wraparound views and outdoor decking.  The Formaston room on the top floor accommodates 75-80 seated dining guests or just over 100 for the ceremony.  The Lochside Restaurant below accommodates 120 seated guests for the meal and is ideal as the main dance area during the reception.  Leading on from the restaurant is the outdoor Osprey Deck with capacity for 120 and this can be easily adapted for inclement weather with a canopy and gazebos.  This is Scotland after all.

Sandy, our award winning head chef is experienced in catering for numbers around 300 and in his element  overseeing extra special occasions such as weddings.  He is always delighted to discuss menus with the couple (ahem, bride).
